These sessions are held every first Thursday of the month in the health education room at Clitheroe Health Centre from 9.30am – 11.00am.
Due to the demand of appointments for people who are informed that they are in the pre-diabetic range. We decided to form a group education session run by our Healthcare Assistants, Sarah Hemingway and Kirsty Downham.
*We aim to keep the sessions easy to follow and educational, covering what diabetes is in simple terms and explaining different types of good and bad fats in cholesterol.
*The session involves visual games to help understand how much sugar and carbohydrates are contained in drinks and foods.
The session is open to partners and carers to attend along with the person for support.
If you have been informed that you are in the pre-diabetes range and would like to attend the group session please contact Pendleside Medical Practice for more information.
