Cervical Screening also known as a Smear test is offered to every woman between the ages of 25 and 65.

Between the ages of 25 and 50 you will be called every 3 years, and between the ages of 50 and 65 every 5 years. When you are due a cervical screening test a letter will be sent to you from NHS England.

Cervical Screening appointments last 10 to 15 minutes and are carried out by a Practice Nurse or a female Doctor.

Once you have received your letter please call our reception 01200 401680 and ask for a Cervical Screening appointment.

If you have any questions or concerns please call reception and ask for a telephone appointment with a Practice Nurse who will fully explain the procedure and answer any questions.
