Travel Vaccinations and Advice

If you are planning to travel abroad, you may require vaccinations or travel health advice depending on your destination, length of stay, and planned activities.

To help us manage requests safely and efficiently, please read the information below, as this explains how we assess and manage travel vaccination requests.

Step 1 – Check your vaccine history

You can view your vaccination record using the NHS App, which displays vaccinations recorded in your GP record.

If you do not currently have access to the NHS App, please contact our reception team and they will be happy to help you get set up.

Please note that the information shown in the NHS App is the same as what is held in your GP record. If you believe a vaccination is missing from your record, you will need to contact the service or provider where the vaccination was given so they can arrange for the information to be sent to us.

Step 2 – Check Travel Advice

Once you know your vaccination history, please use the links below to check travel vaccine guidance for the countries you are visiting. This will help you understand:

  • Which vaccines are recommended or required for your destination
  • Any additional precautions depending on the activities you have planned

After reviewing this information, you will have a better idea of whether you may need further advice or vaccinations from the practice.
